The hand-made Thleah cotton scarf (locally known as Krama Thleah or Krama Baseth naming after the Baseth district of Kampong Speu). Krama Thleah is only produced by the local farmers of Baseth district, Kampong Speu province [60 km southwest of Phnom Penh].


Baseth district villagers are poor. Yet their  skill in making Thleah cotton scarf is uniquely rich and very traditional.


KHMER ARTISANRY now helps find market for their products. To that effect we have been rather creative by making the plain krama into designed garments as follows:
